Altered photo from Larkspur Ferry - here's Coit Tower

TransAmerica Bldg.

No, not smog - just a little bit of tinting.

(to be fair, my brother took this)

My new current obsession is this guy, Ed Martin. He was a cinematographer and after he retired, he created and trademarked a cool way of taking pictures. Basically, he takes a tray where he puts images for a still life and exposes that directly onto the negative. The result is a surprising array of colors and textures that would not be available through a lens. I forced my parents to buy this "photograph" - really, I guilt tripped them - and now they are glad they did. The color in this is SO vibrant, and you can see the air bubbles in the oil, as well as a light halo that the oil gives off around the flowers. Google him!!!

More cool textures
I love this picture of the bench with the grass growing through it
I can't decide which I like better - this one or the previous one! I'm framing one of them for sure - maybe both - ha!

Oh the cherry blossoms - these pics are really lovely large
More blossoms, branches and sky
I love that I was able to cut out all cars - it's hard to tell where/when this pic might have been taken
